Mike driving a launch on Oyster Bay.

Thanks so much for viewing my website. Here’s a little about my background.

Way back in 1992, I began rowing during my freshman year at Hofstra University. The following summer I learned to scull at the Sagamore Rowing Association (SRA). Over the years I have had the opportunity to coach at many different levels.

Nowadays I continue to scull and coach at SRA. Each summer I also look forward to coaching for a week or so at the Craftsbury Sculling Center.

In addition, since 2013, I have worked as the program manager for the Joy of Sculling with Jimmy Joy. The Joy of Sculling is a leader in coaching education and hosts an annual coaching conference in Saratoga Springs, NY on the first weekend in December each year.

As I head out onto the bay each Spring, I continue to view sculling well as a lifelong pursuit. Each year I refine my own technique and in turn I further refine how I teach the sport to the athletes.

I look forward to continuing to learn more about sculling and to many more years of time on the water. As they say, time on the water is time well spent.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.

Warm Regards,
